Philip Forrest

Phillip Forrest is a Director of AustCham ASEAN.He is a Board member of AustCham Singapore (president from 2000 to 2004), and is a past president of the Australia Thai Chamber of Commerce. He is Chairman of Ambassadors of the Singapore Council of the University of Queensland, and a member of the advisory council of Australian Alumni Singapore. He is a non-executive director of several Singapore companies, and one ASX-listed company. He is a Fellow and member of the governing council of the Singapore Institute of Directors, a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (he previously sat on the Singapore committee of AICD), a Fellow of CPA Australia, and for six years was a council member of the Singapore Business Federation, the country’s apex business organization.

Philip Forrest has lived in South East Asia for over 35 years. After a career in banking (including as Citibank’s Country Head in Thailand and ANZ’s Head of Asia) he is now a Singapore-based independent company director focused on the Australia/ASEAN commercial relationship. He has been presented with the President’s Medal by the Australian Chamber of Commerce, Singapore for his contribution to the Asia/Australia business relationship. He was recently made an Honorary Fellow of the Australian Institute for Business and Economics.
